Elizabeth & Michael's Woodland Inspired Elopement at St. Malo Chapel on The Rock in Allenspark, Colorado

These two were such a dream to work and create with! elizabeth spent time at st. malo, chapel on the rock growing up and thats how they chose this incredible venue! i had been dreaming about shooting there for a long time now and was thrilled when they asked me to tag along for their wedding day! their small elopement at st. malo happened to be a foggy day in may. one of my favorite parts of their day was their vow exchange. they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, but wanted to exchange personal vows they had written to each other privately before their official ceremony. we set up chairs facing opposite directions, they exchanged their vow books and read them with tears in their eyes. and tears in mine. after their ceremony, we took our time driving back to boulder, stopping along the way to document their day. and we saw a moose!!! it is so rare in to come across a moose and we all couldn’t have been more thrilled! we got to check out mountain views, rivers, crazy rock formations, the works. I had such a blast! and fresca food & wine was the perfect spot for a reception. the woodland themed wallpaper to go along with their hand made napkins, water painted food menus, mushroom center pieces and record player topped the night off right! gosh, what a day! hope you enjoy!
